AI receptionist for law firms
Valley Front Desk is the AI receptionist we built for law firms in all 50 states. When your team can't pick up (after hours, during court, or when every line is ringing), it answers in English, Spanish or Vietnamese, takes a clean intake with conflict-check names up front, books consultations, and gets urgent calls to your on-call attorney. It does intake and scheduling only: it never gives legal advice, and a call with it doesn't make anyone your client.

The calls law firms get all day

Instead of a rushed message to decode, your team gets the names it needs for a conflict check, a short description of the matter and a callback number, before anyone calls back.

The assistant doesn't judge a case or give advice. It routes, following rules your firm approves.
Ground rules
Intake and scheduling only. A good legal receptionist knows where the line is, so we built these rules into every law firm's setup, and you approve every answer before go-live.
Made for your practice area
Every firm gets its own playbook: your practice areas, your intake questions, your rules for what's urgent, and who gets those calls.
A day at a law firm front desk
Before you open. A woman calls because her husband was arrested overnight. The assistant notes where he's being held and connects her with your on-call attorney.
Everyone's in court. Two new injury calls come in at once. Both get a warm answer, an intake note and a consultation request.
Lunch hour. An existing client asks for a call about her divorce. The message goes to her attorney's paralegal, marked existing client.
After closing. A father calls in Spanish about a visa consultation. The whole call happens in Spanish, and a consult is booked.
Late evening. Someone was just served with papers and has a hearing in two days. The note is flagged urgent for a first-thing callback, with the other party's name ready for your conflict check.
Next morning. Your team opens one tidy summary: every call, what each person needed, and what still needs a human.
In your callers' language
People in a legal crisis want to explain it in the language they're most comfortable with. Every plan includes Spanish and Vietnamese, and your team gets the summary in English.
"Necesito hablar con un abogado. Arrestaron a mi hijo anoche."
"Tôi cần nói chuyện với luật sư. Con trai tôi bị bắt tối qua."
Example caller phrases ("I need to speak with a lawyer. My son was arrested last night."). Scripts are reviewed by native speakers before go-live.

An AI receptionist for a law firm answers the calls your team can't get to and takes new-client intake. Ours collects the caller's contact details, the type of matter and the names of other people involved for your conflict check, books or requests consultations, and routes urgent calls to your on-call attorney. It never gives legal advice; your attorneys answer every legal question.
A message-taking legal answering service leaves your team a list of callbacks. Our AI receptionist also completes intake and books consultations. It writes a tidy intake note your staff can review, books consultation times you offer (on the Booking plan and up), handles several calls at once, and works in English, Spanish and Vietnamese on every plan. Urgent calls still go to your on-call attorney. It never gives legal advice.
Yes. It takes intake calls you forward at any hour, including nights, weekends and while your attorneys are in court, in English, Spanish or Vietnamese. Your team gets the intake note and morning summary in English, with the caller's language noted. Urgent matters you define, such as an arrest or a court date tomorrow, go to your on-call attorney.
Yes, on every call. The assistant will say it's an AI in its first sentence, tell callers the call is recorded, and offer a person whenever someone asks. A caller who doesn't want to be recorded gets your office number, and the call ends.
No. It handles intake and scheduling only. It doesn't give legal advice, say whether someone has a case, predict an outcome, estimate what a case is worth, or comment on deadlines. It also never tells a caller they're your client. It collects contact details and a short description of the matter, then your team takes it from there. When a caller asks a legal question, it says an attorney will need to answer and offers a consultation or a callback.
No. The assistant tells callers that the call doesn't make them a client of the firm, and that the firm will be in touch after it reviews the request. Whether to take a matter, and when, is always your firm's decision.
If you want, it asks for the names of the other people involved, such as the opposing party in a family or civil matter, and puts them at the top of the intake note so your staff can run the conflict check before anyone calls back. It doesn't run conflict checks itself and never tells a caller whether you can take the case.
You decide what counts as urgent. Common rules: someone was just arrested or is in custody, a person was served with papers, a hearing or court date is today or tomorrow, or an immigration detention. Those calls are connected to your on-call attorney or flagged for an urgent callback, following your schedule. If someone is in danger, the assistant tells them to call 911.
The assistant asks only for what your team needs to call back and run a conflict check, and it asks callers to save the details of their case for the attorney. We require calls to be encrypted in transit and at rest, personal details will be automatically removed from transcripts, and records are kept only as long as your firm wants. Caller information is used only to serve your firm. See Privacy & Security.
On Complete Front Desk, the assistant can text a secure payment link for a retainer or an invoice, with your firm as the merchant (your trust-account rules apply). It never takes card numbers by voice. Questions about a bill or a dispute go to your staff.
No. Your firm keeps its number and phones. You forward after-hours, busy or unanswered calls to us, and we walk you through it.
No. It covers the calls your team can't get to: after hours, during court, and when every line is ringing. Your staff still reviews every intake note, runs conflict checks and decides which matters to take. The assistant makes sure no caller reaches a voicemail box first.
